Cristina Carlino is a mother, poet and the founder of Biomedic, a medically dispensed topical skin care line and philosophy, one of the most beloved brands in the cosmetic industry. For decades an international figure of entrepreneurial success, Cristina entered a new dimension of her personal life after the birth of her daughter and the sale of biomedic in 2001. In 2007 Cristina sold philosophy to fully devote her life to her family, friends and her creative passions.

A quote perhaps best sets the stage for her ever expanding efforts to do good and to be good: “I have known since early childhood that I wanted to be a creative servant in this world. I have tried to fulfill that calling in each role I have played in my personal and professional career. I am learning and growing in leaps and bounds because uncertainty is where all of life’s most divine mysteries live.” From a personal platform of fearless self education and leaving everything better than we found it, Cristina Carlino has broken through many personal barriers and old ideas. Today she is using her personal website to share her new ways of thinking, doing, loving, and accomplishing whatever one’s “calling” may be.

Having embraced the worldwide sharing and caring capabilities of social networking, Cristina has taken new baby steps to connect with people via her Facebook, Twitter and Blog pages. She has also begun a new era of authorship with The Changing Room, A Mother’s Journal of Gratitude to her Little Girl and Song of the Beautiful Beast: A Woman’s Midlife Journey of Change and Listening to her Heart. Once again the purpose of these interactive journals is to set a new stage where other open hearts can share inspiring words about their journals to our social community and to their friends.

Welcoming others to join her in spreading their creative wings, Cristina also returned to her songwriting roots while penning those books. The lyrics and music that give Song of the Beautiful Beast its soul exist to inspire others to write their own stories and sing their own songs. Her admittedly amateur songwriting effort to write a song for her little girl, titled She Colors My Day, so touched Amy Grant that the Grammy award winning artist recorded the song.
