THE ARCHETYPE OF TRANSFORMATION

THIS WEEK: BE THE GODDESS OF YOUR OWN STORY

Dear Butterfly Beauties:  From this day forward and forever in my mind and blogs OMG is officially Oh My Goddess!   And why not, right?

The Goddess archetype represents the divine feminine principle that exists within women and men.  So even and especially if Goddess is never a word you thought of in describing yourself or your story; If you have ever felt the power of love  of beauty, fertility, balance, freedom, or nature and so much more.  Oh my Goddess. You are one!

This year – the year of the butterfly – we are ever transforming and spreading our wings into this power – each to our own degree in our own way and time.   Archetypes give us an insight into our own psyche.  They help us understand and embrace the mysteries of ourselves a little better.

I love this quote from Gloria Steinem:  “God may be in the details, but the goddess is in the questions. Once we begin to ask them, there’s no turning back.”

A-Women.  Together, let’s not turn back.

Or turn our backs on the myriad of goddess archetypes we may so deeply resonate with:

From nurturer, to savior to the protector.

From mother  to earth goddess to giver to healer to teacher.

From sex goddess to goddesses of worship to the goddess of witches

To as dear Roseanne Barr once declared herself to be:  “a domestic goddess.”

Of which I am so filled today.  So here I am, butterflies perched on the petal of new questions and possibilities and about to launch into my new company, Archetypes.  I am also developing a next  grace fragrance with philosophy that is in the rebirthing stages.  It comes at a time when I thought my wings were clipped and my days of flying were behind me.  And instead I am being lifted by the mystical forces of  archetypes.  And knowing your fluttering wings are with me on this ride.
